(Sedgwick County, Kansas) - Due to decreased demand, the Sedgwick County
Health Department's H1N1 Vaccine Clinic's last day of operation will be
Friday, March 26. This means individuals who have not yet received the
H1N1 vaccine have only three weeks to visit the clinic. The best way to
protect yourself and your family from the flu is to get vaccinated. Flu
vaccines are effective for approximately one year; therefore getting
vaccinated now may help protect you against H1N1 during next fall's flu
season.
The vaccine clinic is located at 4095 E. Harry; regular clinic hours
are:
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 2 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday: 2 to 6 p.m.
Thursday: 2 to 6 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday: CLOSED
After March 26, remaining H1N1 vaccine will be available at the West
Central Health Department location (2716 W. Central) during normal hours
of operation. The West Central location is open Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday from noon to 6
p.m. Anyone is eligible to receive the FREE vaccine.
The Sedgwick County Health Department has set up a call center to give
up-to-date information about H1N1. Individuals with questions can call
660-5558 or e-mail flu@sedgwick.gov.
