EL DORADO, KAN. (AP) - A man suspected of 2007 killing a Kansas college student who led a secret life as an Internet porn model is being held on a $3 million bond. Israel Mireles made his first court appearance Friday before Butler County District Judge David Ricke in El Dorado. Mireles is charged with capital murder, rape and aggravated criminal sodomy in the death of 18-year-old Emily Sander. Butler County Attorney Jan Satterfield told the judge that a high bond was needed because Mireles had already fled to Mexico. He was brought back from Mexico Thursday by U.S. Marshals. The disappearance of the Butler Community College student drew nationwide attention after the discovery that she also was an Internet pornography model who went by the name Zoey Zane.
