Salina Woman Hurt in Motorcycle Crash

A Salina woman was severely injured in a motorcycle crash; it happened after 2:30 a.m. Thursday about five miles west of Salina on Interstate-70.

35-year-old Barb Shirley was a passenger, when a deer ran out in front of the motorbike; Shirley was ejected from the motorcycle.

Shriley was transported to Salina Regional Health Center, then transferred by air to a Wichita hospital with a head injury; she was not wearing a helmet.

Shirley was a Kansas Delegate last summer at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
