LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Three members of a Lawrence family have been detained after a woman reported that her 15-year-old son had broken into her home and attacked her with a bat. Lawrence police said in a news release that the son, the woman's ex-husband and her 12-year-old daughter were detained at the woman's home early Tuesday. The Lawrence Journal-World reported on its Web site that police found the boy chasing the woman down the street. The woman's ex-husband - a 60-year-old Lawrence man - and her 12-year-old daughter also were at the scene. The ex-husband and son were arrested on charges including attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit a felony. The daughter was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a felony. The woman was treated and released at a hospital.
