Man Impersonates Wichita Cop

Authorities have arrested a man who's been impersonating a Wichita police officer.

The suspect began the scam by contacting women on-line through the website "Craig's List", and arranging a meeting. Once he met up with the women, he had a scanner, a false i.d., and a badge, and forced the women to have sex with him.

Police arrested 51-year-old David Gage on Friday near Kellogg & Tyler, on charges of forcible rape, aggravated sodomy, impersonating a police officer, aggravated robbery, and false impersonation.

Any women who feel they may have been victimized by this man are asked to call the Sex Crimes division of the police department at 268-4156.
