WICHITA, Kan. - UPDATE: Power was out to more than 1,800 Westar customers in southeast Wichita Wednesday evening. The outage that began around 8:00 p.m. also affected traffic on Oliver between Kellogg and Harry as the traffic lights were out.
Power was restored shortly before 10:00 p.m. The cause of the outage is being investigated
WICHITA, Kan. - Westar is reporting more than 1,800 customers without power in southeast Wichita.
Drivers are being asked to avoid Oliver St., between Kellogg Ave. and Harry St. due to reports of traffic lights being out.
Westar expects to have power restored by 9:00 p.m.
Unless this story is referring to a second power outage last night, it is really incorrect. I lost power yesterday shortly after 5 PM just NE of Kellogg and Oliver. Westar's automated line said they were expecting everyone to be back up and running by 10 PM and my power was back on by 8:45 PM.
