UPDATE: Two Dead After Early Morning Crash

WICHITA, Kan. - Two people were killed in an early morning accident in rural Sedgwick County.

The accident happened around 1 a.m. on 103rd St. South about a quarter mile east of Broadway. 103rd St. South is a dirt road, located two miles north of the Sedgwick-Sumner county line.

A red 1990's model Chevrolet pickup lost control and crashed, rolling onto its' roof in the ditch.

There were two people inside the truck, both from Arkansas. The Sedgwick County Sheriffs Office says the driver was a 63 year-old man and the passenger was a 54 year-old woman.

Officers on the scene of the accident say the pair were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the truck. They were taken to a local hospital where they both died. Officers believe speed is a possible cause for the accident.

The names of the victims have not been released.
