(SAN DIEGO) -- Stan Lee had to abruptly cancel his scheduled appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con due to a case of laryngitis.
The 91-year-old creator of Marvel heroes Spider-Man, Hulk, The Avengers and X-Men, among others, was due to make appearances and signings on Friday and Saturday.
A spokesperson for Lee says the comics legend is otherwise in good health.
Lee is still scheduled to appear at other upcoming conventions, including San Antonio’s Alamo City Comic-Con in September and his own get-together, Stan Lee's Comikaze, in October in Los Angeles.
