WICHITA, Kan. - Some Wichita residents who are opposed to the recent Supreme Court Ruling concerning Hobby Lobby and a birth control mandate through the Affordable Care Act protested outside of a local Hobby Lobby Saturday.
In the 5-4 decision Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that the government cannot force certain companies to offer contraception under the ACA.
Protestors of the decision held signs on the street corner in front of the store located at 665 N. Ridge Road from 9 a.m-8 p.m.
Organizers of the protest said the ruling made them feel like womens health care is viewed as unimportant and many don't see it as actual health care.
The ultimate goal of the protest was to educate others on what she believes the Supreme Court ruling could turn into.
