WICHITA, Kan. - A 23 year old man was found with two gunshot wounds Saturday morning around 4 A.M. His leg and hand both received injuries.
He was taken to Via Christi St. Francis in serious condition. According to hospital staff, the victim was upgraded to fair condition as of 6 P.M. today.
It is not known where the shooting happened, but the victim was found near Edwards and Newell St. near downtown Wichita.
Christy Wright lives on the property where the victim was found; she said she woke up to find police and the injured man right outside her window. "A young man [was] on the ground, I thought he was a criminal at first," Wright said, "until I heard officers saying do you know who shot you, do you know who they were."
There are two suspects, both are white men; police had no ages or notable descriptions.
