WASHINGTON, D.C. - Kansas Republican Senator Pat Roberts blasted Kathleen Sebelius last October, following the troubled launch of the Obamacare enrollment website, urging her to resign as Health and Human Services Secretary.
Nearly six months later, Sebelius did just that.
But now, according to the New York Times, Sebelius is weighing revenge, by considering running versus Roberts, who's considered a family friend....for that Kansas Senate seat.
In an article by reporter Jeremy Peters, citing an anonymous source, democrats are supposedly now urging Sebelius to run, despite no democrat holding a senate seat in Kansas since 1939.
According to Peters' source, "Sebelius was thinking about it, but added that it was too soon to say how seriously she was taking the idea".
Roberts is running for a 4th term and some insiders think he may be vulnerable this time around, due to the perception that he's out of touch with Kansas. Roberts recently revealed he doesn't own a home in Kansas.
Still, according to the times article, some say Sebelius should not mount a campaign, because of how rough the last several months of criticism have been on her personally.
