WICHITA - A woman jumps to safety during a robbery in her south Wichita home.
Police Lt. Doug Nolte says a 29-year old woman reported that around 5:30 p.m. Monday a man entered her house in the 44-hundred block of South Dodge through an unlocked door. He says the suspect struck the woman several times then took her cell phone and money from the victim.
Lt. Nolte says the woman was able to get away by jumping off the back balcony of the house. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to Via Christi St. Joseph for treatment.
The victim described the suspect as a black male in his late 20s, medium build with a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a white t-shirt, tan peacoat and blue denim Ralph Lauren tennis shoes.
