Honoring JFK: Kansas Flags at Half-staff

TOPEKA - In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on Friday from sun-up to sun-down, in recognition of a national Day of Remembrance for President John F. Kennedy.

“The legacy of John F. Kennedy is in the strength of the memories we hold of his Presidency and vision for America,” said Brownback. “I encourage all Kansans to engage in a moment of silence today in remembrance of a dedicated American servant.”

Kennedy was shot and killed 50 years ago today in Dallas, Texas.
