WICHITA, Kan. - Police are looking for two suspects in the beating and robbery of a man in his south Wichita home late Monday night.
Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte says that just before 11 p.m. two men walked into a home in the 1300 block of South Laura through the unlocked front door. Nolte says the men demanded money from a 65 year old man in the house and one of the suspects beat him repeatedly with a baseball bat.
Lt. Nolte says both men went through the victims pockets and took a small amount of cash and his wallet, containing a social security card, bank cards and credit cards.
The victim was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment and while he was there police discovered an attempt to use the victims bank card at an ATM in the 1900 block of North Broadway. Police did not locate any suspects in the area and no arrests have been made.
The suspects are described as two white males. One was approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 160 pounds with a buzz cut. The other was about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds.
