(NEW YORK) -- The first trailer for the sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger has debuted, and considering the movie doesn't come out until April, there's a lot of action to be had.
The preview of Captain America: The Winter Soldier shows not only Chris Evans' spangly hero a lot less spangly this time around, but it also shows his Avengers co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson reprising their roles as Black Widow and Nick Fury, respectively.
The trailer features series newcomers Robert Redford, playing the head of the agency S.H.I.E.L.D., and Anthony Mackie, who plays Marvel hero Falcon.
The movie promises to show Evans' formerly frozen Captain America coming to grips with the increasingly disturbing modern world he's now a part of, and shows snippets of the titular enemy that will change everything for the hero. The movie hits theaters April 4, 2014.
The next Marvel film hitting theaters is another sequel, Thor: The Dark World, on Nov. 8.
