AUGUSTA, Kan. - A Goddard teen was killed in a crash Saturday night on a stretch of highway in Butler County. It happened just after 10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 54, about eight miles east of Augusta. The Kansas Highway Patrol said a Dodge pickup was heading westbound on 54 when it left the roadway and rolled. One of the passengers, 14-year-old Corbin Collier, was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports state he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Two other passengers, ages 17 and 18, were hurt and taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment. The 16-year-old driver was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
