WICHITA, Kan. - Kansas Senator Jerry Moran says he has not changed his position, he still opposes a U.S. military strike against the Syrian regime.
Moran spoke with K-N-S-S morning show host Steve McIntosh Thursday morning while the Senator was on his way to a meeting at the Whitehouse with presidential advisors. On Tuesday President Obama had sought in a nationally televised speech to make the case to the American people for congress to authorize military action.
Senator Moran says even after the speech, "This makes no sense to me. It's easy to start a war, it's difficult to know what the consequences are and how it ends. And what are American interests, what does success look like?" Moran says he heard nothing from the President that would convince him to change his position.
