More Severe Weather in South Central Kansas



     WICHITA - Several thousand Westar customers lost power overnight and early Wednesday morning as a thunderstorm rumbled across Sedgwick County. Thunderstorm warnings were issued for several counties. Wind was clocked at 60 miles-per-hour causing tree damage at Andale. Tree damage was also reported in Reno County.
     A 60-mile-an-hour wind gust was reported at the service area on the Kansas Turnpike at Cassoday.
