NICKERSON, Kan. - It continues to be a much wetter-than-normal July throughout south-central Kansas.
Reno County residents living near Cow Creek are being urged to keep an eye on the rising water.
Reno County Emergency Management said the creek is filling ditches along 82nd Avenue east of Nickerson, and the water is going higher.
Officials are urging people living near Cow Creek to take flood precautions.
Early Monday afternoon, more than two inches of rain fell in a 90-minute span about five miles north of McPherson, leading to street flooding in the area. Flood Warnings are in effect for McPherson and Marion counties.
Wichita and much of south-central Kansas is under a Flood Watch through Tuesday afternoon.
