OKLAHOMA CITY - A spokeswoman for the city of Oklahoma City says there is widespread flooding across the city following a violent storm that produced a tornado.
Kristy Yager says City Street Superintendent Randy Moulder is waiting for the rain to end before sending crews out in an effort to deal with the flooding. Yager says about an inch of water was also standing on the first floor of City Hall. The storm also knocked out power across the metro area.
Oklahoma Gas and Electric reported about 53,700 outages in area with more than 16,000 in Yukon, more than 14,000 in Oklahoma City and nearly 12,000 in Moore. Outages are also reported in Del City, El Reno, Bethany and Midwest City.
