WICHITA - A Crimestoppers tip leads to three arrests.
Last week, there was a case in north Wichita involving occupants of one vehicle shooting at another near 13th & Broadway. Based on the tip, Wichita police gang-unit detectives performed surveillance at a residence in the 1500 block of N. Topeka.
A suspect left that location; after a brief pursuit by police, he ran into a residence about a block away. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the original location in the 1500 block of N. Topeka; they found multiple firearms, and arrested the 31-year-old man for weapons violations.
A 29-year-old suspect in the case was tracked down to a motel in Hays; he was apprehended on weapons charges and a parole violation. A 26-year-old woman was also arrested on obstruction charges.
