Downing Concert Series announced that ticket sales for the Saturday, April 12 performance by British rock and roll legend Joe Cocker begin February 8. Tickets are priced at $37, $67 and $95 and will be available at www.downingconcertseries.com and Select-A-Seat outlets. The event will be held at the Kansas Coliseum. Joe Cocker is the headline act for this year’s Downing Concert Series fundraising event. The evening includes a pre-concert fundraising dinner with reserved seats priced at $250 and $1,000. Mike Finnegan and the Phantom Blues Band will Open the show for Joe Cocker. Mike will also play in Joe Cocker's Band.
A pavilion pre-party for concert ticket-holders is also available for an additional $15 cover charge. Ticket packages, which include a concert ticket and admittance to the pre-party, are available beginning February 8.
The concert's theme will be "We Get By With A Little Help From Our Friends" and will benefit Wichita Children's Home and FUNdamental Learning Center. Hall of Fame inductee Mike Finnigan will be playing keyboards in Cocker's band that night and on the rest of Joe's US tour.
