WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Wingnuts announced Wednesday that Lawrence-Dumont Stadium will be accepting cash at all events for the 2013 season.
The announcement follows the completion of the Wingnuts' five-year agreement with Total Venue Control (TVC) signed prior to the club's inaugural season in 2008. In addition to cash, debit and credit cards will still be accepted at all Wingnuts and NBC World Series games. The transition applies to all points of sale at the stadium, including concession stands, skyboxes, in-stadium vendors, and the team gift shop.
"We are very excited that fans will be able to use cash at our stadium this year," said Wingnuts' General Manager Josh Robertson. "Total Venue Control has been a great partner of ours since the formation of the team, but with our agreement expiring after last year, we have decided to explore the benefits of providing a cash ballpark. We wish Cameron Wall and his staff the best of luck, and will continue to serve as a reference for their company."
Existing TVC cards with outstanding balances may be redeemed at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium up until June 1st, 2013.
