TOPEKA, Kan. - The state capitol is no stranger to activist groups. Now a group of peace activists in Topeka are protesting with paint. Planting Peace purchased a home across the street from the Westboro Baptist Church. The church is home to a group known for protesting military and gay funerals.
Planting Peace says they intended the home be a launching pad for an anti-bullying campaign. That's why they painted the home in rainbow colors to in thier words, "embrace diversity."
Planting Peace says they plan to put up their guest speakers in the rainbow colored house.
