WICHITA - Wichita received two-tenths of an inch of more snow overnight, but it was enough to cause a slick commute for several area drivers.
Emergency crews in Wichita and other parts of Sedgwick County began responding to several accidents beginning around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Several accidents are slowing the rush hour commute, primarily on elevated roadways and most with minor injuries. One crash on K-254 and Hillside involves multiple vehicles, some rolled over.
There are other accidents currently working near I-135 around 21st Street North and further north near Park City. Several slide-offs have been reported on I-235 as well.
City streets are mostly clear, but some spots have a light glaze. Neighborhood streets are also reported to be extremely slick in spots.
