WICHITA - The snow depth in Wichita is over ten inches ... as we wait for a huge winter storm to pass from the area. Schools and many businesses are closed. Driving conditions are hazardous in the Wichita area. Tom Hein of the Kansas Department of Transportation tells KNSS News his crews have been working nearly three days, non-stop. More than 24 state trucks are running in the Wichita area, along with trucks and snow plows from the city and county.
