Five Dead, Three Injured in Canary Islands Cruise Ship Accident

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- Five crew members are dead and three are injured following a cruise ship accident in Spain's Canary Islands Sunday.

The accident occurred at a La Palma port off Northwest Africa during a safety exercise. A lifeboat apparently fell into the ocean from a British cruise ship.

No passengers were injured in the incident.
