Butler County Jail Deputy Accused of Having Sex with Inmate
EL DORADO, Kan. - A Butler County jail deputy is accused of having sex with an inmate. The Butler County Sheriff's Office says Charles Chaney has been fired from his job at the jail.
The criminal complaint filed against Chaney alleges the sexual misconduct took place on January 14, 2013. Chaney has worked as a detention deputy since June 2012, the Sheriff's Office said.
The case is now being handled by the Butler County Attorney's Office.
