OLATHE, Kan. - Olathe Police say an officer fired his gun at an armed suspect Friday night. It happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. after an Olathe Police officer was searching for a vehicle driving the wrong way. The officer spotted the car in the parking lot of the Dollar General.
The officer confronted the suspect inside of the store and told investigators that the man pulled a gun on him. The officer fired, striking the suspect who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not identified the suspect, but say he is a man in his 20's. There were no other injuries.
