Sen. Moran Comments on Fiscal Cliff Vote

WASHINGTON, D.C.  -  Kansas lawmakers split Tuesday on a bill that avoided sending the federal government over the so-called fiscal cliff.  Sens. Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran voted for the bill, and all four U.S. representatives voted against it.
In a prepared release, Sen. Moran talked about the importance of protecting as many Americans as possible from the fiscal cliff tax increases, as well as how the fiscal cliff deal sets the stage for a spending fight in Washington.
Sen. Moran believes that spending is now front and center in this debate, uncomplicated by the issues of the Bush tax cuts expiring at the end of 2012.
