The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for much of western and central Kansas. Cities in the watch area include Wichita, Hutchinson, Salina, Great Bend, Medicine Lodge, McPherson and El Dorado.
Snow is expected to develop early Monday and continue most of the day. KAKEland meteorologist Blake Smith says the Wichita area can expect a trace to 2 inches, while cities in north central Kansas can expect 2 to 4 inches.
