Wichita Police Search for SUV Involved in Shooting Incident



     WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita Police are searching for a cream or white-colored 2005 Lincoln Navigator involved in a shooting incident on Interstate 135 Saturday afternoon.
     It began shortly before 4 o'clock when 2 people visiting family in Plainview discovered they were being followed by the SUV with 4 to 5 people inside.
     As the the victims reached Pawnee & I-135, the SUV pulled up along side the victims vehicle and the suspects inside started flashing gang signals.
     The victims drove north on I-135 and the suspects followed. The soon spotted someone inside the SUV raise a gun and fire several shots.
     Police say the front window of the victim's car was shattered, several rounds struck the steering column and the driver's hand was cut by glass. The victims eventually flagged down an ambulance after exiting on Lincoln. The suspects tried to follow but fled as soon as they spotted paramedics.
    The driver was treated at St. Francis. Police say the victims reported that navigator appeared to have custom seats made of ostrich or alligator.
