GARDEN PLAIN, Kan. - A boy, 15, was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis following an accident in Garden Plain. Authorities said that the boy was riding his bicycle in the 1000 block of North Main when a pedal broke on his bike, throwing him off. The boy struck his head and was knocked unconscious according to Garden Plain Police.
He regained consciousness while he was being transferred to an Eagle Med Helicopter. He was flown to the hospital with potentially critical condition. Police say no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
