Portion of Permanent Casino Set to Open
MULVANE, Kan. - The permanent casino is almost complete at the Kansas Star in Mulvane, with a partial opening early next week.
At midnight on December 10th, the casino will close in preparation for the opening. It will re-open at 8 a.m. on December 12th. “Opening only a portion of the new casino on December 12, allows us to minimize the number of days we will be closed,” said Scott Cooper, Kansas Star General Manager.
The move will involve the relocation of 1,400 slot machines and 35 game tables. Three of Kansas Star's restaurants will also open on the 12th. The remainder of the new casino is expected to be complete and open by December 21st.
