Three Killed In Finney County Crash

     GARDEN CITY, Kan. - Two Scott City women and a man from Texas are dead after a head-on crash in Finney County Friday night.

    The Kanas Highway Patrol said the crash happened about 9:20 p.m. on U.S. Highway 83 about six miles north of Garden City. According to a KHP report, a southbound SUV crossed the centerline and struck a northbound sedan head-on. The SUV then rolled once.

     The driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Phillip Cook of Littlefield, Texas, was pronounced dead at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

     The driver of the sedan, 81-year-old Doris Reed of Scott City, and a passenger, 68-year-old Leta Weems, also of Scott City, were also pronounced dead at St. Catherine Hospital. Another passenger in the sedan, 73-year-old Alice Odea of Scott City, was taken to St. Catherine Hospital in critical condition.
