WICHITA, Kan.  -  The eastbound and westbound lanes of Pawnee were closed between McLean and Seneca after a crash that sent a motorcycle rider to a Wichita hospital in critical condition.
     Police say the motorcycle was traveling east on Pawnee near Walnut -- which is a few blocks east of Pawnee and Seneca -- when a car pulled into the motorcycle's path and the vehicles collided.  Officers at the scene said they believed the motorcycle was traveling at the speed limit.
     The man riding the motorcycle was taken to Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in critical condition.  Police said he was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries in the crash.  A woman driving the car was also taken to a hospital for evaluation, but police said she was not hurt in the crash.
