Retrial Underway in Crash That Killed Clearwater Girl
WICHITA, Kan. - A Wichita man is going on trial for the second time because of a crash that killed a Clearwater girl. Amber Randolph, 5, was killed on Kellogg when a truck driven by Matthew Noel flipped over the center barrier from the other side and slammed head-on into her mother's car.
Noel's first trial ended in a mistrial when jurors couldn't reach a unanimous verdict. Noel is charged with involuntary manslaughter. Prosecutors say his friend Ron Bevan caused the crash while the two were racing on Kellogg in February of last year. Bevan was convicted at an earlier trial.
