WICHITA, Kan. - Crews battled a second fire at a south Wichita home Tuesday evening. The fire was reported at around 6:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Waco. It was a rekindle of a fire that happened at the residence around 1 p.m.
"The original fire, we had fire in the front bedroom," said Battalion Chief Tom Carney. "This time, we had a little bit of fire up in the attic." The blaze was brought under control around 7:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.Damage to the home and its contents was estimated at $65,000.
