South Wichita Gas Pump Catches Fire After Hit By SUV

     WICHITA, Kan. - A gas pump at a south Wichita gas station caught fire after it was hit by sport utility vehicle early Saturday morning.

     It happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Quik Trip at Harry and South Seneca.

     Authorities say a white Chevy Blazer struck the pump and then fled the scene.

     The intersection was shut down while firefighters quickly got the blaze under control.

     No injuries were reported.

     The incident is under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
