"Boardwalk Empire" Renewed for Fourth Season

Macall B. Polay/HBO(NEW YORK) -- HBO has renewed Boardwalk Empire for a fourth season, reports TV Guide.

The pickup comes two weeks after the Season four premiere of the prohibition-era drama.

Michael Lombardo, HBO’s programming president, issued a statement saying, “We are excited to bring this unique series back for a fourth season.”

The series, which stars Steve Buscemi, has won twelve Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe trophy for best dramatic television series.
