The Kansas Turnpike Authority says the driver, 52-year old Eugene Ewing III of Sand Springs, Okla., was exiting Highway 166 to northbound I-35 and lost control. The semi then rolled over and landed on its side.
Ewing was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say speed may have played a factor in the accident. The semi was hauling liquid petroleum.
