NICKERSON, Kan. - One person is dead following a head-on crash in northwest Reno County. A semi truck and van collided one mile east of Nickerson on K-96 at around 3:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
According to Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson, both vehicles were on fire when emergency crews arrived. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver suffered non life-threatening injuries.
