WICHITA, Kan. - Officials with Spirit AeroSystems have confirmed the worker who fell while working Monday afternoon has died. They released this statement Tuesday night: "We are deeply saddened that one of our team members, who has been a colleague for more than five years, has passed away. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family. The safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority. We do not yet know all of the circumstances surrounding the situation and are conducting a thorough investigation. At this sad time, we are keeping our teammate’s family in our thoughts and prayers."
The man's name has not been released pending family notifications.
