WICHITA, Kan. - A house fire this morning, southeast of Derby heavily damaged a large two story home. Firefighters were still on the scene through the early morning.
The blaze was reported by a passerby around 1:45 a.m., in the 10000 block of East 87th Street South, near Greenwich Road. When firefighters from Sedgwick COunty, Derby, Rose Hill , Mulvane and McConnell Air Force base arrived they found smoke and flames coming from the structure.
