Evacuations ordered in Mannford ahead of wildfire



     MANNFORD, Okla. - Emergency management officials have ordered evacuations of homes in several areas as wildfires burn across the state.
 
     The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Services says no injuries have been reported.
 
     The largest fire was burning an estimated 78 square miles in Creek County and the western sections of the town of Mannford was under and evacuation order. Creek County Commissioner Newt Stephens told reporters Saturday afternoon that numerous structures had been burned.
 
     Evacuations were also ordered in the Drumright area in Lincoln County; near Quinton in Pittsburg County; and in the Glencoe area of Payne County;
 
     ODEM also reports a fire near the Tom Steel Reservoir has affected water service to Altus and other communities in that area.
