HUTCHINSON, Kan. - Reno County pilot was not hurt after he flipped his plane during a rough landing in Reno County. Kansas Highway Patrol officials say it happened at approximately 12:15 p.m. Monday in the 3600 block of Mohawk Road about four miles southwest of Hutchinson.
Investigators say the pilot had just landed his small plane on his private airstrip when something caused him to veer off into a nearby plowed field. The plane's wheel then broke and the plane flipped in its top.
The pilot, 62, was not hurt in the accident. The incident is under investigation.
