Cleanup Complete After 7 Railcars Derail

TOPEKA, Kan. - Railroad crews have finished cleaning up after several railcars carrying coal derailed in eastern Kansas.
Union Pacific spokesman Mark Davis told The Topeka Capital Journal (http://bit.ly/OJLnIB) that the railcars derailed Sunday near the town of Perry. No injuries were reported.
Davis says the train was traveling from Wyoming to Kentucky when seven of the 135 railcars derailed.
He says one line reopened later Sunday, and crews had to replace about 500 feet of damaged track on another line, which reopened early Monday. The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
