Discarded Fireworks Cause House Fire in Park City

PARK CITY, Kan. - Sedgwick County fire investigators say an early morning house fire in Park City was caused by discarded fireworks.
It happened just before 1:00 Wednesday morning in the 6300 block of North Upchurch. When firefighters arrived, they found a truck engulfed in flames. The front of the home had also caught fire, and flames were spreading to the roof.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire fairly quickly and no one was hurt. No damage estimate is available yet.
Investigators aren't yet sure whether the fireworks were disposed of properly or not.
