Winfield, KAN - Oil and gas drilling activity in south central Kansas has "become somewhat frenetic" ... according to Dwight Keen of Winfield, chair of the Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association. Keen tells KNSS News new technology such as horizontal drlling is fueling the boom. Keen says the counties in southern Kansas with the most activity right now are Comanche, Barber, and Harper.
