Steve signed on the air as a mid-morning News anchor at KWBB 1410am in 1970 and he’s been a major force in Wichita radio ever since. Steve was the News Director at KEYN 103.7 “The Rock of Wichita” during the 70’s. Steve’s numerous awards include 21 Kansas Association of Broadcasters awards for editorial/commentary based on his popular McIntosh Report which has been heard through the years on multiple stations. In addition Steve has earned numerous awards for Outstanding Newscasts from KAB, AP and the prestigious Murrow awards. He is a member of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
